Z-Wave Plus / Z-Wave Alliance
« on: August 25, 2014, 04:46:47 am »
Hi,

I just went on the Z-Wave Alliance website and didn't see Securifi registered there. Is Securifi a member of Z-Wave Alliance ?

My second question is about Z-Wave Plus, it seems to be a new Certification they created with upgraded features (extended range, ...). Is Almond+ Z-Wave or Z-Wave plus compatible ?

Hi,

Yes that's part of what i was looking for. I'm juste surprised Securifi Ltd doesn't appear in the member section as you have a : http://www.z-wavealliance.org/member-companies.

About the "Z-Wave Plus", is almond+ compatible ?

That's my bad, I haven't gotten around to send them a nice little write-up and company logo.
That said, it's something I'll get done at some point when I have five minutes to spare.

The Almond+ has the older Z-Wave chipset as you need the 500-series to be Z-Wave Plus certified.
Considering that there are barely any Z-Wave Plus devices in the market, it's not a huge deal yet.
We'll see what we can do to work around this longer term though.

Hi,

Thx for the answer. yep you're right only one Zwave plus at the time but need to be a long term thought as you said.

Hello, I am also interested in this topic.  Would this be a new plug in board in the router (kind of doubt it) or will it be a new revision of the router?  Also, is this planned for the near future?
Thanks
Peter

We'll be doing a new revision, but we're also looking at doing a USB dongle as an upgrade option.
