Sensor State History
« on: August 27, 2014, 02:59:25 pm »
Hello,

I have a door sensor that I bought with the Almond+.  Is there an easy way to see (for example over the last few days) at what times a door was opened and closed?

Thanks for your help!

Depends on your definition of easy.

Through SSH you can view the log within the /tmp directory.  What I did to take a look at mine was I found the ZigBeeShortID from the DeviceList.xml file and then grepped zigbee_server.log for that ID to find something like the following:

[2014-8-27 5:29:47.084453347]    {INFO}  status change 0x31 from device 0x22e8
[2014-8-27 5:29:51.244101410]    {INFO}  status change 0x30 from device 0x22e8

No, I wouldn't say that this is as easy as opening a report, but it is possible.

Long term this functionality would be nice if it would become available in the web ui/cloud thingy.
A nice visual timeline for binary sensors and graphs/spark lines for light, temp, humidity etc, sensors in a customisable dashboard overview...
