Unable to pair ZigBee Energy Switch
« on: September 04, 2014, 08:27:34 am »
I followed the instructions included. I plugged the Energy switch into the wall. I pressed the second button until it flashes green. But it never seems to pair with my Almond+. I've tried the following:

Turning the unit on "red light" and then pressing second button "red/green alternating"
Leaving unit off and pressing second button "flashing green light"
Plugging something into it and doing the first two items

Am I doing something wrong?

How far from the Almond+ is the plug when you try to add it? Normally you need to be within 1m for pairing to be successful. You can try resetting the plug by pressing and holding the button for 10 seconds, then try to add it again.

I moved the unit to the same power strip that the Almond is plugged into. It can't be more than a few CM away. Tried the reset method, nothing seemed to happen.

We discovered that a few of these are misbehaving.
It should work if you do a reset first (press and hold the pairing button for 10 seconds, green light should flash) and then add it to the Almond+. Once you've added it, if you go to Connected Sensors, locate the plug, tap on edit and then remove, it seems to be reset back to how it should function and you should be able to add it without having to do a reset first.
If this still doesn't work, please email [suspicious]support@securifi.com[/suspicious] and we'll arrange for a replacement.
