I have 5 of these switches around my house in different rooms. Two dimmers, and three on/off switches. Currently they're connected to my original z-wave system I've had for several months now, and they worked perfect with it. I just got my second Almond+ in the mail yesterday (I installed my kickstarter Almond+ at my parents house), so I hope to be able to get all this setup by this weekend.

I'll be sure to update with the progress.

I'm assuming I have to remove any z-wave item from the first system before it can be used in this one... and the first system didn't make that an easy task.

You can actually use the remove option under add sensors on the Almond+ to remove them before you add them to the Almond+, as we can remove sensors that are paired to another controller.
The dimmers should work with the latest beta firmware, not sure about the on/off switches.

I was able to get them added very easily, but I'm not running the newest beta and neither the dimmers nor the on/off switches work.

I'm going to try the new beta and see how that goes.

I updated to the newest beta, but the switches still aren't recognized. Here's some screenshots...

Hayden's Light and Living Room Light are dimmers, and Ceiling Fan and Porch Light are the on/off switches.

The dimmers are now working perfectly with the newest update, but the on/off switches still aren't working with the system yet. Do you know when we'll be able start using them?

Not sure, I know we've added support for some switches, but as there apparently are 3-4 different kinds that work slightly differently...
Hopefully by the next release, but that's just a guess.
