NTFS drive Samba mount infinitely deep directory
« on: January 18, 2015, 04:03:31 pm »
I have a Windows7 client connecting to a drive SMB share, I use an rsync type product to keep it synched with my local drive.  This has been leading to randomly infinitely deep recursed directories in random places.  Disconnected the drive, connected locally, directories disappeared except for initial one.  I've done this twice, I get the same behavior.  I chkdsk /r'd the drive when it was locally connected and got no errors.
I saw a similar issue before but it looked like it was supposed to fixed with firmware earlier.   I also see the current firmware issues are Linux and Mac OS X related in terms of Samba problems.

Anyone else with this problem with the latest firmware?

Any ideas?

Which firmware are you using?
