Pairing failed with Energy Switch
« on: March 06, 2015, 12:49:29 am »
I bought 3 of these through Kickstarter, and am just setting up the last now.  The other two, I paired on an earlier version of the firmware.

Trying to pair this one, I keep getting an "Association Failed".  I've tried resetting and pairing a few times now and always get the same result.  It goes through Adding sensor, then getting info from sensor and then I get the failure message.

That's very odd. Can you try going back to an older firmware to see if the same behaviour is happening? I've made the software team aware of your issue.

That actually worked.  I downgraged to R069cb, and was able to add the switch.  Going to upgrade again now.

I just had an "Association Failed" with a Wemo lamp that I had previously paired (on earlier FW) and removed. I did reset the Wemo prior.
I reset the Wemo again, but this time I moved it so there wasn't a fish tank between the Almond and the lamp... then it paired and downloaded the info much more quickly.
This was on the R070as beta. This was the only device I've tried pairing while running R070as.
The distance was under 5 feet.
Just a data point.

The pairing distance should ideally be withing 3 feet / 1m, but ZigBee should pair at a longer distance. I've passed this on to the software team.
