Gate and Garage control Zigbee interface
« on: March 12, 2015, 02:27:22 am »
As with a lot of people I would imagine, I have a keyfob (standard old RF type) which opens gates and garage doors.

Has anyone found an available device which can be operated by Zigbee HA that converts the signal to RF to operate existing gate and door controllers?

We're going to be adding support for CentraLite's garage door opener as soon as it's available - http://www.centralite.com/index.php/products/new-products-for-2015
It's not expected to be available until the middle of the year though.

I have not yet found specifically what you are looking for (minus what Lars posted), but I am successfully using this to control my garage door:

If your gate can also be controlled in a similar fashion in that a button is doing no more than connecting 2 wires, then I don't see why this wouldn't work for that too.

However, it is Z-Wave, not Zigbee.
