Any way to configure Almond+ if touchscreen non-responsive?
« on: March 20, 2015, 08:36:18 pm »
Out of the box, the unit boots to the set-up screen, but none of the buttons are responsive to stylus or finger. I can see the unit broadcasting, but neither of the printed codes will allow me to connect to either 2.4 or 5 radios. Of course, since I can't join the network, I can't configure via 10.10.10.254. The reset button is firmly welded to the case, if that's what it is (unidentified in the QSG). Reboot availeth not. Should I try to connect via internet or just get an RDA from AMZ and go back to square one?

Update: support provided instructions for login credentials; unfortunately, they didn't work; here's a link describing the reset button, which is a departure from any that I've ever seen: http://bit.ly/1EBSajK but the hard reboot didn't work, either. Finally, for the benefit of other pilgrims, the two codes on the sticker are MACs, not passwords.

As the passwords are auto generated during the first setup, if for some reason the touch screen isn't working, you're going to have to request a RMA.
Sorry about the troubles, but unfortunately these things happen sometimes.
