problem making Rules when we have multiple key fob
« on: April 05, 2015, 04:36:42 pm »
Hello

i have two key fob and i created a rule in both key fob   like IF the perimeter armed and the door is open then turn on siren and If i press dearmed in  key fob then turn off siren ..i use this rule before leaving my house and before enter i dearm with my keyfob and it works great..

..the problem is when i click arm button in First key fob the rule is work but when i click dearm with my second key fob the siren is not turn off because  the first key fob is still in arm mode ..i can totally accept that is logic because the rule is still activated with first key fob ..is there any way to toogle the rule like when i dearm with second key fob it have to dearm in  the first key fob also...its not a big issue we can use one key fob  but when  we have more family members and each one have key fob  and when they enter and leave in different time it will be complicated...

thanks

Hi Umar,
I have the same issue. Did you resolve it? regards

@pluggin

hi i solved it by creating a rule to all key fob like "if i arm then turn on away mode " and second rule "if i dearm then turn on home mode"
and create a third rule like "If away mode activated + door open then turn on siren" and fourth rule "If home mode activated then turn off siren"....

now you can turn on or off home mode and away mode with your all key fob ....and the rule is working so if you are in away mode if any one open the doors without put to home mode the siren will on...

even if you activated the away mode with key fob 1 you can turn off away mode and put to home mode with Key fob 2.so when we put to home mode the siren will not turn on..

so the rule works with all key fobs ...the only problem is the keyfob status is not changed  nor in iOS app or lcd ui... but the home mode or away mode icon is changing in iOS app and almond plus lcd  so we know if we are in home mode or away mode....

and activate push notifications for all key fobs so when your house members put their key fob to home mode or away mode (with arm and dearm button) you will get a notifications so you know if you are in home mode or away mode...

and one more advantage now with home and away mode is we dont need key fob we can turn on and off home mode and away mode with our smartphone from any ware .....if you activated away mode with your key fob your family member can put to home mode with his smartphone ..

the only disadvantage is when we put home mode and away mode with smartphone we dont get any notifications...

hope this will help..

thanks

I have this situation too,  but with 4 keyfobs, this solution is ridiculous to be honest. I have an incredible list of rules just for arming and disarming.
This is for only using 2 buttons, for the other 2 I have to make another long list :-\

Exactly why I am only using one key fob at the moment.
