« on: April 19, 2015, 09:43:46 pm »
Seriously....  Why do my simple rules of on and off of 3 devices work only every other day???  If its 7:00pm turn on 3 GE link Lights, then turn off at 7:00am.    WHY only so often??????

Odd, I've been running rules at home for quite some time now and although some things are still not perfect, I've never seen this kind of behaviour.
I've passed on your feedback to the software team though, as things shouldn't work like this.

I'm having similar issues. The on/off rules for my GE Z-Wave Outdoor Module and Aeon Labs Z-Wave Smart Energy Switch only seem to work around 50% of the time. They never fail from the phone app. I had to put in several redundant off rules since one of the switches controls my garden watering. On the plus side, I have some very hydrated plants! I was hoping R072 would fix this, but no such luck.

I have the same problem with the cree bulbs. I just set the rules to send an on command multple times when I want to turn them on, and off multiple times when i want to turn them off.
3x Cree connected bulbs - mostly working, some toggle failures using the app; Monoprice PIR - working, waiting for temperature rules;  Trane Thermostat - working; Linear T500Z - working; 3x GE outlets - working; Aeon G2 micro switch, working.

I had similar issue and after checking settings found out that a+ time sometimes changes to incorrect. Changed time server from default to EU time server and the problem never appeared again

Right, that makes sense, but the OP and posters above claims that it happens every other day, which doesn't make any sense.

Here is what is happening now.  All Lights (3) are to come on at exactly 7:15pm.  Then all go off at 7:30am.  They did not turn on for the past 2 nights, but when I turn them on through the app, they all do shut off in the morning.

Weird.

I've noted before that setting up multiple rules that trigger at the same time will cause unpredictable outcomes.

How have you set the rules for this?  Because rules can not surpass midnight for the moment...

For my peanuts time has been the issue, once I reset the time using my PC on and of worked. Unfortunately sometimes the almon plus loses its time and I have to reset time again

When you say that Almond looses time, is that after a reboot ?

Also, can OP please send logs from Almond. We need to see why such erratic behaviour is coming up.

Exactly same. I solved it by changing ntp server in openwrt settings. Tested it for 2 weeks already, problem with time didn't appear. I use 3.europe.pool.ntp.org server for time.

I have done 2 rules, one to turn on lamp at 8pm, another rule is at 8 am if lamp is on, turn it off

I experience cases where none of my rules operate. For example, last night none of my lights came on per the rule. Once I turned the lights on via app then the rules for turning off and on the next morning did work. I find this happens once in a while where none of the rules execute. For me it is inconsistent.

Based on suggestions here, it looks like the workaround for my Z-Wave switch rule inconsistency issue was to change the rules that were occurring at the same time, to occur 5 minutes apart.  The following day after the change, all rules worked. Before the change, I would only see a completely successful rules day, maybe 20% of the time. So far, rules have been 100% after 3 days - with no garden floods and no missed security camera feeds.

For for disclosure, after the initial 1 day successful test, I also changed my NTP servers from the default to the US ntp.org pool, as I believe this is just a better configuration for me. I don't believe this was causing any issue as my A+ time was always spot on whenever I checked.
