VLAN support?
« on: April 29, 2015, 02:20:56 am »
Hello,

I have my A+ connected for a while now (as router). My Hue lights (livingwhites and huestrips) finally works with firmware 072. So that's a good thing.
But now I'm facing an other problem. I want to use VLAN (802.1q). I definitely thought A+ could do the job. But after searching for the 'switch' or 'vlan' tab in the openWrt interface, and searching this forum for an answer, i came to the conclusion that VLAN isn't supported (yet?). Unless i'm mistaken it still isn't there yet?
This should be a main functionality for routers these days. Even a 20$ managed switch i bought a few years ago has this functionality.

Is there any ETA for implementing VLAN into A+?

Although VLAN implementation is more important in my opinion, i also want to know if there is any news on supporting Lifx bulbs in the near future?

i'm guessing it's still not supported? I'm contemplating whether to buy the A+ or not.

Unfortunately VLAN is still not supported and we don't have an ETA on this.
