Almond loses config from every restart
« on: June 01, 2015, 08:56:40 pm »
Every single time the almond restarts, I have to configure it from scratch. I have updated the firmware to the latest and greatest. AL1-R201-L302-W34

I have tried everything. Whenever it restarts, the first thing it prompts me for is location as it does a reset on every reboot. I am very close to throwing the bunny thing across the street.

Anyone have any experience with this or any advice?

Overall, I haven't been too happy with it. It seems slick, but the on screen keyboard is absolute crap.

Thanks in advance.

This sounds like you have a defective device. I suggest contacting customer service and get a replacement, or at least support troubleshooting.

I suppose so, however, I am pretty close to just buying a replacement. The first gen Almond really isn't that great. But thanks for the input.

If you're handy with pc boards, you might just then open it up and see if you find a bad solder joint or something like that.
