VPN
« on: June 07, 2015, 04:35:01 am »
I've recently started using a VPN service and works fine on my pc.
When i go to use it on my iphone it works fine over cellular but not on my wifi
Could this be a router related issue?

Thanks Jamie

If you have the Almond+ and updated to the latest firmware, then it shouldn't be the router, specially if it works fine on your PC while using the same network from the Almond+.

I have successfully test the following config.  Will double check iPhone, but everything is working great so far.

iPad2 IOS 8.3 - VPN set to L2TP
Almond+ R76 - VPN set to IPSec/L2TP

Working over WiFi
Working over 3G

Android 4.4.4
VPV set to L2TP/IPSec
Working over WiFi
Working over 4G/LTE

So i have installed the vpn profile on my iphone. Select one of the servers from the list.
When i go to connect i get a message pop up saying "The L2TP-VPN server did not respond. blah blah"
When not on wifi it connects fine thats why i think it must be something router related
Just seems like something is blocking the connection over wifi

Thanks Jamie

You are on a remote WiFi, correct?

Are you trying to connect to a VPN hosted on the Almond+?

Or are you on your home network behind the Almond+ and trying to connect to a remote VPN location?
