Almond+ Documentation or Manual
« on: September 23, 2015, 12:47:06 am »
Am I missing something?  Is there a manual or documentation on how to configure the Almond+?  For some reason, with R080, most of my settings don't work.  For example:

1. Forwarding settings don't work.  Specifically, FTP wasn't working, but forwarding for VNC was.
2. Noticed that firewall settings randomly changed.
3. WiFi is intermittent.  Had to hard reset to get wireless working.
4. Web GUI became unresponsive and could not SSH into device until hard reset.
5. Could not delete rules without going into WRT.

Because of this, I'd like to factory reset it and start from scratch.  To do this, I was hoping I could look at a manual.  In particular, I'm most concerned with firewall settings.  It seems like I had to make a bunch of changes just to get forwarding to allow me to FTP in to my home server.  Then, when that worked, internet quit.  So I had to go and make more changes just to get internet to start working.  The weird thing is that it just happened out of the blue.  It's like the Almond+ woke up one day and decided it wanted to change how it would operate.

Check the Wiki,  if it's not there and needs to be, we can add it.

You can reset  your current Firmware Release to Factory Defaults via the Software Update Page in the GUI.

Port Forwarding

Not sure what to say about Firewall settings "randomly" changing without any specifics.
Would suggest doing a firmware backup after you have a good working configuration.

WiFi Intermittent? Meaning what exactly? A device couldn't reconnect? All devices lost connectivity to the Internet?

GUI and SSH not working? First thing to try, reboot the Almond+ and nothing?

Nothing wrong with a factory reset and firmware update and reconfig, but again, perform a backup after going through the process. Might save you some work later if needed.

WRT for Rules? I presume you mean Forwarding Rules?
The Almond GUI allows for Adding Port Forwarding but not deleting or changing as I recall. If this is what you're talking about, then yes, Command Line or WRT are your options.
