Nomiku Wifi not connecting
« on: March 15, 2016, 09:00:38 pm »
Hello,

I have a Nomiku Wifi Sous Vide machine. It is suppose to connect to there cloud over MQTT port 8883. When trying my provider router it connects no problems. When I use my almond+ it won't connect. I have assigned a static IP and think I forwarded the port correctly to see if that would help but still no dice. Any suggestions of other things or setting I can try?

Hi  Hoju,

You can try traffic rules in OpenWRT, to add traffic rule you have to go to Advance tab in A+ Web UI.
Then go for Network > Firewall > Traffic Rules, click on Traffic rules and next you have to click on Add button will which forward you to the rules page (Add the rules as per your need). I attached some picture for you help.

If it is still not working, please contact our support team.

I tried the suggestion putting in the static ip of the Nomiku where the red x.x.x.x was but it still did not work. I will send an email to support.

Thanks.

Is it even connecting to the router? If it's not, then try playing around with the wifi frequency widths. I have a number of devices are the very finicky with the 20 and 40 Mhz widths.

Update is that for some reason it was the ip range being used by the almond+ of 10.10.10.x. When changin to a 192.168.0.1 ip range it connected fine. Nomiku is looking jnto this on their end.
