Factory reset to include wiping all device caches
« on: June 27, 2016, 08:52:34 pm »
How can I send my Almond + back to the state when it was new without any devices joined? I've read the factory rest will not delete the devices previously added. I would like to wipe it completely and start over.

Thanks

@ Baldo,

You can do remove all sensors which would create a new network for the Home Automation. However, you have to still follow the proper removal process of your Z-wave sensors, reset the Zigbee to add them back in.

@Ashok - I think I will have to completely reset since my zwave network is not working too well.

Does remove all devices also reset device ids? I mean will they start from 1 again ?

No, it just creates a new network ID for Z-wave and Zigbee. I will provide you the instructions on how to clear them completely via console, please check PM.

Hello,
I seem to have a problem that is making it not possible for me to add a new sensor. I think my sensor resets itself everytime the battery is removed, so each time It added it as if a "new" sensor joined(signified by the number of the sensor increasing by 1 each time). Now the Almond won't attempt to add him no matter what I do. Can you please PM the code to reset the cache as well so I can try it?
Thank you very much,
Gary.

@ GaryH,

If you are trying to add the Z-wave sensor, then please do follow the removal process first and then try adding it. Resetting the sensor would not help.

Tap on Add Sensor-->Single Remove only-->Follow the removal process on the sensor and then try adding it.
