I spent quite some time last night trying to figure out if my A+ is operating in Wireless AC or not.  After logging into the router, going to the open wrt option under "advanced", they only thing I could ascertain was that my A+ was operating in either b or g with about 296 mps.  I found previous discussions on this subject regarding what mode to choose.  I tried every mode available in the drop-down, never achieving more than the previously stated speed.
I have this as a reference:
Here is an Example and what each field means:
11ACVHT40PLUS
 11 means 802.11 standard
 AC means Wireless AC
VHT means VHT - Very High-Throughput
 80 means 80Mhz Channel Width
The following table is a channel width breakdown for Wireless AC, you can find similar things for N:
Spatial Streams   20MHz     40MHz    80MHz
1                          86 Mbps  200 Mbps  433 Mbps
2                          173 Mbps  400 Mbps  866 Mbps
3                         288.9 Mbps  600 Mbps  1.3 Gbps
I am using the 11ACVHT40PLUS however, I am not sure what the "Spatial Streams" are
Can someone please explain what I am doing wrong.  I see even today that Securifi is advertising the A+ on Amazon.com as a wireless AC router.  Is this false advertising, or am I experiencing operator error?  Please advise.  Thanks in advance
