Screen displaying random colored lines.
« on: March 17, 2016, 01:08:52 am »
My Almond+ Screen is just displaying random colored lines - as if the VRAM is corrupted.

I've tried rebooting numerous times, but still has the issue.

Any suggestions ? or anyone else have this issue.

@ Europian,

Try to disconnect any USB devices connected to the Almond+ and then turn it off for at least 5 minutes and turn it back on, check the performance. If it is still not working then we do have steps, however, it would be related to disconnecting and reconnecting the cable by opening the case, let me know if you are comfortable with it.

I have no USB devices attached, and I tried turning it off for 5 mins - the screen is still corrupted.
I'm ok with opening the case to try and fix it - just let me know the right procedure.
Thanks.

@ Europian,

Please try opening the back case of Almond+ by removing all 4 screws and you would find one golden color cable going from motherboard to the LCD, gently disconnect it and reconnect it properly(be extra careful and ensure Almond+ is completely off and disconnected from power source).  Again, try this only if you feel like comfortable.

I just got the router 1 month ago and faced the same issue.
Please advice is there any repair centre in Singapore or can i send it for 1 to 1 exchange?

Thanks.
