Sunrise Sunset question . . . . .
« on: December 05, 2016, 06:30:59 pm »
Hello,
I was so excited to see this added to the new software load!!!

YEAH! Thank you!

However all it does is cause my lights to start flashing on and off at sunrise/sunset and I have to reboot my router to get things to stop flashing.

I've deleted all my rules and tried just the astronomical feature with the same results.
Am I missing something?
Thanks for any input.

Scott

Just FYI, I am using the Sunrise/Sunset event. At Sunset a switch is turned on and a second rule Sunrise to turn it off.
It will be interesting when you post to @mparadis request to see if you are using it differently.
One other note, my unit is new and I did upgrade to newest level before creating any rules. Not saying any of this matters, just FYI.

Sunset, if lights off, turn lights on.
Sunrise, if lights on, turn lights off.

I do select the sunrise but it does not seem to list when I view the rule.
Maybe there is a click I missed or a button I did not push??

Thanks in advance. I've wanted this feature since the day I bought this!

Try this:

Sunset, if lights off, wait 2 minutes turn lights on.
Sunrise, if lights on, wait 2 minutes turn lights off.

Sunset, if lights off, turn lights on.
Sunrise, if lights on, turn lights off.
1. Just curious, why test if the lights are off, if you are going to turn the on anyway? My rule was if Sunset then switch on.
2. Just curious, what device are you using? I am using "Vision In Wall Z-Wave Micro Switch, 2 relay"
