Home network not showing up in Available Networks for Range Extender

Just recieved my Almond+ but my network is not showing up in Range Extender. I see the other networks around, but not mine. It's not hidden, it's working and serving my myriad of devices at home but not visible.
I tried a hard reset on the Almond, no joy
I connected to my router so I could download the latest firmware which worked, but my network still isn't visible and I don't see a way to manually add it.

Any ideas? Otherwise I'll have to return it

Could you please try rebooting the main router network once and then try Range Extender setup, if that fails try to change the channel on the main router network and try again. Is your main router network dual band or single band?

I changed the channel and that fixed it! It now extends my network exactly where I need it, thank you so so much
