Might be easy to develop an internet weather unit like the now failed Sharper Image EC-WS115. Probably does not even need a touch screen; but unlike the Sharper Image unit would be stand alone, like the Almond is already.
The reason I got an Almond was exactly for this feature, to have a stand alone internet weather forecast, and I have stopped the screen from sleeping.
