I see that Securifi plans to roll out its Software as a Service IoT security protection model across its device line in February.
Am I wrong in assuming that it will require a MAJOR firmware update for all the platforms?
Am I mistaken in the observation that a larger number of Almond+ users (and probably a great many along the other product lines) are less than impressed with Securifi's upgrade path, let alone the ability to address a long list of concerns that always seem to be "upcoming in the next firmware" or "being worked on" and then never heard about again?
Given those issues and Securifi's inability to have an honest open discussion with its customer base, what makes you think consumers are going to pay for a subscription security model when the base product's main function (network router) is buggy, every new firmware is buggy, and very very little seems to get fixed?

Securifi cannot provide me with a router that does not constantly throw DNS errors at me.
Securifi cannot provide me with a router that supports network storage (you, know those USB ports in the back I paid extra for that I can't plug anything into without the whole unit overheating until it fails).
Securifi cannot provide me with an HA interface that reliably provides current connected device state.

A year ago, I paid 300+ for a router that Best Buy is now dumping for a hundred bucks a unit...that I am now actively looking for some non-Securifi unit to hand off router duties to.

And you want: 1- for me to put my IoT security duties in your hands...
2-...and pay you monthly for the privilege?

I am at my last straw with this brand and I am surely not alone.

Bad luck. My Almond+ is working perfectly for me. I would like more features with rules and ifttt.. But otherwise it it works great for me.

Maybe email SECURIFI support.   They have been responsive for me.

My Almond+ has worked for me well too, until the latest R090 firmware killed my 5 GHz band.  Up until that point, I had no major issues, and things were progressing well on the Alexa, IFTTT, and HA fronts.  Sounds as if you might just have gotten a lemon unit.

I was one of first to get one via Kickstarter, and have been using since 2013.
