I know that there are issues, but I'm happy with mine.

OK, so I know that there are a lot of rants on this forum, and rightly so.  There are definitely a lot of issues, and for a lot of people I think they would have been better off getting their's once all the bugs were worked out.  Of course, most of them wouldn't have been happy about that either.

HOWEVER, I just wanted to say that I'm happy with mine.  Could it be better, sure.  Will it be, absolutely.  BUT as a geek, I'm happy that I got mine when I did, and didn't have to wait until all was "perfect".  I don't mind working through some of the issues, and dealing with a lack of features.  My home is better with this router and what it brings, than it was without.

Keep up the great work Securifi.

This. ^

There are issues, but it's obvious that Securifi is working hard to fix them. In the end, it will be a fantastic device. The software will eventually catch up to the hardware. In reading the threads on this board, I remind myself that I backed a Kickstarter project—I didn't pre-order a retail product. My expectations are tempered because of this. In a few months, bugs will be fixed, features will be added, and we'll see the Almond+ become what we all knew it could be. With that in mind, I'm happy with the router.

I'll second tt4me's sentiment: Thanks, Securifi, for you hard work.

I totally agree, there are issues, but I'm sorry that I didn't have the chance to back this project. As a bystander, I'm in awe about the level of communication with their backers and all they do to get it right.

Definitely agree with you. I'm so happy I backed this router! I got it this afternoon and everything is set up just like I had it with my WRT610N running DDWRT. There's stuff to fix for sure, but I'm still very glad I got it.

Thanks for the positive feedback. Trust me, we know that there's a lot of work to do still and we haven't slowed down yet.
It might seem like things are moving a bit slow at the moment, but we should have a new firmware out in about two weeks time that will address some issues and add some more features.
We're in this for the long term and we're sorry that you guys ended up being more beta testers than we'd hoped for, but some of the issues that have cropped up are things we haven't even managed to re-produce so they're a bit of a head scratcher for us and we're working on trying to solve these issues.

Agreed with everyone that the router is great and that the software is getting better, but for me the one issue that I had pretty much doesn't let me use it as my main router. But I will patiently wait until the fix is pushed out and I am able to use it then.

As for now, I use my Almond+ as my primary router (I've set my cable box in bridge mode - Numericable in France). I've easily forwarded port, added Z-wave object... And I'm for now happy.

I do wait for the iOS app though.
