Need Password for Access
« on: August 30, 2014, 12:05:02 pm »
I am on a MacBook Pro 2013 running Mavericks OS and with Airport Utility. I have done the connections for my new Almond+ and the touch screen lights up and I can advance to the point where it says to go to the security website. So there is internet connection to that point. However, when I select one of the two options to connect to Almond+ (2.5 or 5.0), a box comes up wanting the WPA2 password. I have no idea what it is looking for. I have tried other passwords for the previous network, admin, blank spaces etc. But when and if the join button activates, it shows an error.

I know I must be missing something here and it's probably simple and I'm just not getting it. It's obvious that Airport Utility knows the network is there. I just can't get past this password block.

I'd appreciate any help with this.

Please tap on the Wireless tile in the LCD UI and you'll see the Wi-Fi password for the 2.4 and 5GHz networks by tapping in the corresponding tab.

Thanks for the help! You probably know this already, but when the Almond+ fires up, the screen that comes up is for the Wizard which did not take me anywhere that I could tap into the password. But when I chose not to use the Wizard, then the screen with the Wireless Setting options appeared. No doubt I should have figured this out, but it would be helpful if the instructions pointed this out somewhere. I'm set up now. Appreciate your help.

Right, you do have a point and I'll discuss this with the software team.

I had this exact same problem. I only ended up discovering the other option by accident.
It was quite frustrating.
At the very least they should display the current password for the WiFi within the wizard itself!

We're going to make changes to the wizard so the Wi-Fi SSID's and passwords are shown.
